I am thinking about driving down to flamingo with the prowler on Wednesday. Any takers? I thnk the ramp is open when I flew over Saterday there were numerous boats out front. I will probably leave early AM and get there btw 6:30 and 7:00

Nice, after a year of begging for a fishing partner, now, you want to go to Flamingo :D

I now have a real job, not a reel job   this M-F job stuff sucks :(

Oh yea, the ramp to the bay is still closed! Launch from the primative campsite. Only the hard core stink-boaters will be in the area, it's a long haul, but worth it!

Last Saturday there were large floating grass beds and the tide was funky, too. The bayside ramp was closed, I like launching from the beach better anyway. Topwater lures were useless. Lots of bait though. The tarpon of all sizes were thick along the shore east of the channel all the way to the pass at Joe Kemp. They bit exudes, storm shad, tsunami shad and about any softbait as long as the hooks didn't foul with the grass. The reds and trout I caught were in the grassy flats along the channel bends south of Joe Kemp.

The worst of the weed was west, going towards Bradley Key.

I have fished the eastern edges of the middle grounds south of Curry key with some hit or miss luck.

Once it cools off a little, I'll venture towards the channels and cuts around Clive Key.

There will be a couple or three Derelicts out that way Saturday.

Have a good time, and remember, I've only met one poor soul that was skunked at Flamingo  Wish I could make it.
