My only attempts to fly fish were off the back of my stinkboat. No real distance casting, ájust a toss to chummed/ teased fish.

Now with a kayak and several trips to Flamingo under my belt, I feel the need to fly fish! Now, here's what kind of help I need.

I have decent tackle, just really need to know about leaders. Since targeted fish there are toothy or at least rough on my 30# mono spinning terminal tackle, do I just use 30# tippets of Hard mono? Do I taper from say 30 to 12 and back to 30?

Any help will be appreciated by me and not by the fish I plan to assault
