Okay,

I'm posting this well in advance and hopefully we can get some of us (besides me) there. On Tuesday, June 28th, the South Florida Fly Fishing Club (www.sfffc.org) is proud to present none other than Tim Borski! Tim will be doing a presentation and demonstration at the regular club meeting held at IGFA. This event is free.

For those of you who don't know who Tim Borski is he's an artist, renowned fly tyer, and knows how to catch a fish or two. You can find out more about him and see his work at:

www.borskiflies.com

Hope to see some of you there. Any questions drop me a line.

Thanks,

Ken

Thanks for the heads-up! I assume you mean the IGFA next to Outdoor world. Can non-members go? What time?
                                       Thanks, CarlosM. Perez

For those of you who couldn't make it, you missed a good one. Tim went into multiple variations on the chernobyl crab and even threw in a trout (freshwater) fly based off the bonefish slider. We had a camera showing the tying up on the big screen. Watching him tie and hearing the tips he has is great. It was a great event and pretty rare in that it was free. He's doing similar things but they cost $.

I'd strongly encourage people to attend some of these events when they come around, they're worth the time.

Carlos, were you able to get there? If you were sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you.

I would like to publicly thank Superfly (Ken) for taking his time to keep us informed and to promote these events.  I've been to one or two and I can assure you they are worth your while.

Thanks Ken, and see ya at the Yak-In...

Sorry I missed this one again! Work rules my life. Tim has some of the most innovative flies out there. His artwork is very cool too.

Yeah, I know how the work thing can get, it rarely cooperates!

Tim was just amazing to watch and listen to. He makes spinning deer hair look pretty simple! It must be... :D

And it was great seeing him tie the chernobyl so many different ways. Same fly, same techniques, totally different flies for different conditions: crusing bones, reds in flamingo, laid up tarpon. Very cool.
