After nearly incessant harassment by valued forum members, I popped a Guinness, sat down, and created this much requested section.

Should all pics go here?  Probably not.  Will they?  Maybe.  Does it make a difference?  No.  But it makes sense that this is a good place for general type pics that don't go elsewhere.

Whatever.  If you don't like this section, blame I-fishhead...

Guidelines for Posting Pics

Couple things that will make it easier for all...

1.  Pics should be no more than 500 pixels wide (otherwise they run off the typical page)

2.  Save in the .jpg format at 80% (this results in a nice small file with minimal loss of quality).

Remember, many users still use dial up.  You may continue...

ps. let me start it off...

I guess I'm obligated to put something here now.

Thank you, mon capitan, for your wise and diligent moderation of this here forum. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

Are you guys sure you don't want to go to the Tortugas with me?

Take it off for me

Never get out of the boat.

Dear Capn Jimbo,

I have been so blessed in my life. Great parents, great wife and kids, great job, and a great education. When I finally retired, I could hardly wait to spend time enjoying my favorite pastime -- bass fishing.

I got a tandem kayak and tried to get my wife to join me, but she just never liked fishing. Finally, one day at the Bait & Tackle Shop, I got to talking to Sam, the shop owner, who it turned out loves bass fishing as much as I do. We quickly became fishing buddies.

As I said, the wife doesn't care about fishing, she not only refuses to join us, she always complains that I spend too much time fishing.

A few weeks ago Sam and I had the best fishing trip ever. Not only did I catch the most beautiful bass you've ever seen, only a few minutes later Sam must have caught its twin brother! So I took a picture of Sam holding up the two nice bass that we caught and showed the picture to the wife, hoping that maybe she'd get interested.

Instead, she says she doesn't want me to go fishing at all anymore! And she wants me to sell the kayak!

I think she just doesn't like to see me enjoying myself. What would you do?

Tell the wife to forget it and continue my hobby or quit fishing and sell the kayak as she insists?

Thanks, A Fisherman

P. S. I have enclosed the picture of Sam showing off the bass we caught.

(Capn's Note: pic was changed to a .jpg, 80%.  Instead of 380K it now uses just 25K.  No loss of quality, you can still see those bass, lol...)

If you don't know how, contact moi - if you still can't I'll post the pic for ya.  Most files posted should be about 50K, please and thank you.

Remember, many users still use dial up.  Carry on, hehe...
