A masterpiece from a master!

FYI, here's a couple pics just received from Charlie, a very well known and highly respected local SIK'r.  Charlie has built 3 or 4 kayaks from scratch, either SOF's or plywood. This one is of plywood and required exceptional skill as it is barely within the limits of the material.

A couple pictures of a new kayak. Another modified Ammassilik. Weighs in at 30 lbs. Balance braces effortlessly. A bit loose inside for a lot of rolling, so thinking of adding a knee beam or just using foam masik for extended
rolling.

Seems neutral to wind and waves so far.  Delightfully responsive and easy to handle.

This kayak is based on an Eskimo hunting design and is relatively faithful to the original designs.  It is Charlie's second attempt at this design, and this latter came out much better according to him.

Congrats Charlie, wonderful achievement!
