You will have to use the good faith rule since it would be tough to develop pics at the park.
Largest Cuda over CM#20 should win the pot.

Sunday, Feb 13th, for those who have fished or are interested in fishing the Everglades City/Chokoloskee Area, we are doing a "thing" ... launching out of Chokoloskee and fishing/drifting/paddling out with the outgoing tide to Rabbit Key ...Vickie and I will have a big pot of hot conch chowder going, a cooler full of cold drinks, as well as, the grill!!  The tide should turn and begin flowing back in around noon, so the paddle back-in should be great one.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the area and meet some of the folks who fish Chokoloskee regularly.  I am looking forward to matching up the faces and the names... hope to see you there.

I can't believe you actually picked a day I'm not working for that event :p  I got a map of the area and a little GPS device that I still have to learn how to use. Now I just have to convince one of the kids to fill the front end of my yak.

Any alternative plans if a front comes through on Feb 12 and we have 20+ knot winds?

FYI, this is a non-commercial invite from Captain Wright, and I'm happy to accept this invitation.  Yes, this will be scheduled and we (active posters) should attend.  I've posted an Event:

YESSIR -THE EVENTS SECTION!

It's where we go to find out about more or less "organized" (what, organized -THIS group...???) outings & events, as oppose to the 'Hooking Up' section, where it's the more impromptu 'whatcha doon tonite/this weekend wanna paddle/yakfish?' matches that are made.

CHeck it out, make your suggestions, we'll toss it around, and maybe we'll all get together and

(Capn's Note:  I agree, will start a Yak-In thread in your section...)

im up for it whenever it is i dont see too many posts for people planning trips my old reliable paddling buddy has discovered girls so now i usually paddle solo cause his little brother is only twelve and he doesnt have as much time on the water as his older brother so im pretty limited on where i can take my younger cousins

BTW the lagoon at dubois park in jupiter is a great place to take unexperienced people (especially kids) to paddle its not more the 6 ft or so deep in most of the lagoon and before they can go out theres a little beach and a thin part of the little chanel that feeds the lagoon so you can just set up shop on that little beach and know that your kids cousins nephews whatever cant get in a lot of trouble theres some fish in there and ive seen a little sea turtle there 3 or 4 weeks in a row

anyway so i take my younger cousin to the lagoon a bunch of times have him paddling pretty good and his mom ships him off to jersey for the summer so all the practice went out the window and my youngest cousin is only 9 so hes too young to take anywhere but the little duboid lagoon
