Welcome to the SEKFC!
Some of you may have heard of the SEKFC, aka the SE Kayak Fishing Club. A small bunch of fishin fooles who were simply obsessed with kayak fishin, never quite got off the ground, er on the water much, but did have a few good meetings over at Kayak Jeff's joint. But I must digress...
Ah, I remember those old, old pre-kayak days when I looked longingly out toward the first reef, well beyond my best surf casting distance. And then, almost by magic, obtained my very first kayak - my now infamous yeller Scupper Pro TW from Waldo - yes that's his real name - a friendly, short, squat retired Hispanic man who spent almost every day at the beach either biking, swimming or kayaking.
After that I was mad for information, experience and advice. And went crazy looking for feller yakkers to fish with and from whom to learn. Soon I discovered the mountains of misinformation on the net - the blind leading the blind - and established the FLYC website as a private, non-commercial source of honest and reliable info for all but especially newbies.
It was exciting! Which brings me back to the SEKFC.
Recently I heard rumblings bout some renewed interest by the SEKFC, and in the spirit of cooperation and elder stateman wisdom I wanna give the young fellers and fellettes (don't even think about it!) a forum to pursue their obsession, regardless of the size of their kayaks. I'm sure even Hobie owners are welcome. A home away from home to be sure.

Thanks Jimbo, as a founding member of the SEKFC I appreciate your support. I regret that I have neglected my fellow yakkers this past year but for good reasons. We had a baby in Jan. and its a full time job that requires both me & the wifes time both week days & weekends. So I have had no reel time to fish alone much less organize meetings and paddle days with the group. But 2008 is a new year and Jr. is 1 yr. old on the 8th and a little easier to leave with the grandparents, so I can fish & momma can shop or suntan
