So did ya'll go ?

Where's the report.

I went offshore on Friday, beautiful day, made it out maybe 8 miles.... trolled the scales off the hoo with not even a sighting of fish. We saw birds sitting on the water, not many boats out but no-one reeling up any fish.
Sat. locked and loaded for a lobster dive trip, get up at the crack of dawn to rain and east winds, scrubbed the trip, maybe Sunday.. Sunday up at the crack of dawn howling east winds... scrubbed another day.
But I did wathc a lot of good football, gotta love it when the last week the BCS is getting scrambled, the bears win one and the Pats almost give up the ghost.. whats next Ricky comes out and saves the dolphins year.

It's been awhile but Sue Sea and I hit Flamingo on Monday, low tide, late PM.  I'd forgotten what a nice drive that is, and what a special place the Everglades are.  We promptly joined for the year and certainly intend to return.

It was a bit past low and we headed east toward Snake Bight.  We were amazed at the tremendous amount of bait we spooked at nearly every paddle stroke, not to mention a considerable number of cruising sharks.  Great time.

Lotsa weed though, and I didn't have a good weedless to work - that won't happen again.  All in all, a great paddle and good time...

Def. a special place, but that drive really sucks... an hour (for me) to the end of the pike, then 20 minutes to the gate where they want money, and another 45 minutes to the ramps.

And the money part don't make no sense at all.. 10 bucks for the car, but I get a year pass for 25.
3 bucks for the kayak/canoe but a year pass is 60 bucks, hows that add up.

The only good part about the drive is stopping at Roberts for some tomatoes and a shake on the way out.
