Hey guys I just took possesion of my sons Fly Rod..

What is the best known fly for Peacock Bass in South Broward ?

Where can I get a hand full of them ?

Learning how to use the log rod will be more than I want to accomplish in the near future, so please don't say make them..

The only place that comes to mind would be the Bass Pro fly shop.
Maybe they could offer up a few good choices. They have a great selection and the guys seem to know their stuff.

Hey Krash,

BPS fly shop is good, so is the fly shop of fort lauderdale. Lots of peacock-specific flies there. Personally, I favor clouser minnows in either chartreuse/white, olive/yellow/orange, and chartreuse/yellow/orange. Sizes range from 6 - 1/0.

I have always loved the Mickey Finn, it's a streamer. I dont know if bass pro has it, but it never failed me. Good Luck

I could see the Mickey Finn working pretty well. Do you use it in yellow & red or do you change the colors up? BPS might have it, they carry a bunch of trout flies since they're a chain. Dave at the fly shop might have it as well. Also check with Darren at ole florida fly shop if you're up on boca. He's a good guy and kayaker!
