Hello Jim,

áI got my first e-mail from you today. I'm sorry to hear of your health problems. I hope you get better soon! I'm interested in joining your club and would like to find more kayak fishing partners.

I live in palm beach county( Greenacres ) but fish mostly in the Indian River. My buddy Art lives in Ft Lauderdale. If any members are interested in fishing the Indian River we'd be happy to show them around. We've caught Trout to 10.5 lbs, Snook to 40 inches, Reds to 27 inches and Tripletail to 23 lbs.

Tim

I would really like to go with someone to the Indian River and bring my father inlaw. We have been wanting to go fishing their for a while but the weather and his job have kept us from going. Let me know when you want to go.

If everyone (and the wind) can hold off until Feb 3 or 4th then I won't be working. I even got a new paddle today that matches my kayak. I decided to stick to standard fishing line and rod colors instead of getting them in orange also.

Give me a few weeks and I'll go. We just had a baby and I can't get out just yet, but I think in a couple weeks I'll get the green light from moma. :p  I can't wait to go catch some reds & trout up there by Mud Creek & Big Bear

Hi All,

If y'all set something up shoot me an e-mail please. If I'm unable to go because of work I can at least point you in the right direction with pretty current reports. The trout fishing's been great on the east side( about 4 lb. average size.) The snook fishing has been so-so. Lots of big jacks and ladyfish with the occasional bluefish and spanish mackerel. The cold snap that's running through today may shake things up a bit but I'm fishing from the boat this saturday to try and target pompano( we caught 4 up to 4 lbs in the st. lucie river a few days ago.) Have a great day!

Tim

P.S. If I do go on Saturday I'll post a report(Is it possible to add pictures? Anyone know how?)

Everyone please note that the email function of this forum has problems, so if you want email, type your email on your post.  However, the PM's DO work so you can contact any other yakker this way...

Tim-- thanks for the invite/guidance.
RDS-- Feb 4 seems good, if the winds are OK. Whaddya think? If it's a possibility , then let's see.
I'm planning for the Chokoloskee yak in with Cap't Chas on 2/24 (Critter, Krash, Scupper pro, Paladin, Superfly, Perch, Jimbo, and all you old timers-- are you going?). So IR in early Feb would be better for me. Hey, in regard to the choko Yak-In--maybe FLYC could get a happy contingent together and go to Chokoloskee. How many of us are planning to go?
BTW, RDS...I'd have gone for the orange matching gear

Feb 4 could work. The 10 day forecast has a front coming through Feb 3rd, which means it may come through Feb 2 or Feb 4.
