Islamorada Bones
Sorry for the lack of detail, but recently read that bones may be caught by staking out in the flats near Peterson Bank:

After drifting too quickly over 'mystery muds' near Peterson Bank in Florida Bay, we decided to stake out smack in the middle of an oceanside flat.
The tide, slack when we were scouting the bay, had started in by the time we got into position in the shallows adjacent to a deep, swift-running channel. Lange staked the skiff with the stern into the current. From the bow, I cast a shrimp weighted with a split shot to intercept a bonefish ostensibly emerging from the channel and feeding against the tide on the flat.

Important notes: several bones were caught via this experienced guide who - unable to sight fish in the muddy conditions - staked out in the flats near what he determined to be channel access for the bones so as to be moving against the tide into the flats. He depended on the sensitive bones to find his shrimp.
Good lessons, especially in windy or muddy conditions not favorable for sightfishing.
