I've had fish on and chased fish right around Bear Cut and the Sea Aquarium. Almost boated a "green" one, not so much by skill but more so stupidity. There is a mob of 4-5 footers that come through there on the tide change, every darn time it seemed. Troll untill you see 'em roll, then cast to them. I've had breif hook-ups on a "knuckle head" surface and also a soft plastic crab on a 3/0 circle hook.
Little card Sound is my favorite because there is very little pressure, and at times I have spent hours chasing rollers, just out of reach. I do a lot of trolling there but have never quite figured out the Poon pattern. I've gotten some interest swirls but no hook-ups on the Silver King. There are some huge 'cuda the cruise through there too. The mangrove creek entrance/outlets, are the places to start, but not close in unless smaller 'cuda are the target. Steamboat Creek is worth a slow paddle at slack to slow tide.
The bridge at Bahia Honda is another destination choice of mine but your window is small due to tidel currents. I'm not that confident to stay out there for too long or to venture too far from the protection of the key.
